About Us

This little mama went to work at the stock market, this little mama stayed home; this little mama ate roast beef, this little mama was a lacto-ovo-vegetarian; this little mama was CEO at a Fortune 500 corporation, this little mama was CEO of a growing family…every little mama is different in her own way–we don’t even parent in the same ways–but every little mama shares two things in common with every other little mama: we’re all tied at the heart to the wild animals we’re steering through life, and deep down we remain the vibrant, unique, independent individuals we were before we started down this crazy path called parenthood.

This Little Mama is committed to mothers, whoever you may be and however you may do it. “Parenting” is a complex subject, and we’re happy to leave that to others. This Little Mama wants to talk about the other stuff that’s distinctly about motherhood: our relationships with those we love (irrevocably changed since Wee Wee came along), things that make life easier (because herding cats in diapers is hard enough), things we love (almost as much as our kids), that elusive but critical time we get to spend NOT being mamas, and the utterly demented things that happen only to mamas. We also want to celebrate mamas we think are rock stars, and whose perspective, energy, and commitment to motherhood inspires us.

We know full well that motherhood is the hardest job out there. And the pay may be measly, but the benefits are unlimited. Whatever else we do with our lives, we are moms, and we want to love it every day–and for you to love it, too.
